Standing In The Rain

Don Ray was the stage name for Raymond Donnez, a talented keyboardist and arranger who frequently worked with Cerrone and Alec Constandinos. He recorded his only album in 1978, the acclaimed Garden Of Love.   It was produced by Cerrone and included the anthemic “Got To Have Loving,” “Standing In The Rain,” and “Midnight Madness.”

Although the album was very popular, he returned to behind-the-scenes work with Kongas, Sumeria, and Revelacion.  He kept on producing music after the disco crash and has received several awards in Europe.
